About the Role

This role promotes and sells company products within a defined geographic territory by developing new accounts and expanding usage of company products within current accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Promote products to current and potential customers (surgeons and hospitals) to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and unit growth objectives.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies by determining clinical and economic needs of existing and potential accounts to effectively sell products in the OR.
  • Create weekly, quarterly, and monthly action plans for the territory by analyzing contract access, sales figures, and reports to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Provide product support to surgeons and hospital personnel in the OR, focusing on Lower Extremity, Plastics, Vascular, Ortho Trauma, and Ortho Oncology subspecialties.
  • Target events and opportunities to engage multiple surgeons within a specialty using available corporate resources.
  • Deliver a consistently high level of customer service with a customer-first mentality.
  • Respond to customer needs regarding products and services by delivering creative solutions in a timely and compliant manner.
  • Build and maintain meaningful relationships with decision-makers across all sites of care to create long-term customers.
  • Educate customers on the safe and effective use of company products through presentations and demonstrations.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with national accounts and reimbursement teams to support physicians, accounts, and billing departments.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting and tracking of sales activities, product inventory, and territory sales forecasts.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and competitive activities while demonstrating keen knowledge of the local market.
  • Collaborate with the direct reporting manager to determine necessary resources to achieve sales objectives for all clients.
  • Provide tradeshow support and help drive attendance with surgeons from the respective territory.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in medical device or pharmaceutical outside sales
  • OR sales experience
  • Ability to travel 80-90% of time within assigned territory
  • Follow appropriate dress code and adhere to credentialing and registration requirements at customer sites, including vaccination requirements.
  • Physically capable of standing for long hours in the Operating Room during cases
