About the Role
This position requires excellent cooking skills and the ability to maintain a well-organized station for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes. The role involves working closely with kitchen staff in a clean, orderly, and safe environment, valuing professionalism, cooperation, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Prepare food according to recipe and restaurant specifications.
- Complete opening and closing checklists.
- Assist with kitchen opening and closing.
- Portion food products according to standard sizes and recipe specifications.
- Manage all aspects of the station as directed by management.
- Set up station according to SOPs and management prep lists.
- Prep food products for shift, using proper rotation (FIFO) and checking for quality to prevent waste.
- Perform correct cooking techniques following Gott’s guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with line staff, managers, and front of house for proper timing of menu item production.
- Address missed or misunderstood details.
- Follow Gott’s procedures to prevent cross-contamination for allergy concerns.
- Report problems or shortages to the manager.
- Check and maintain high quality of products and equipment at the station.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Observe good sanitation practices and safety procedures.
- Wear gloves as required.
- Unpack and stock kitchen deliveries.
- Perform assigned cleaning duties.
- Assist other line cooks when needed.
- Assist with shift changeover to ensure prompt guest orders.
- Attend required training classes.
- Attend scheduled employee meetings and provide suggestions for improvement.
- Manage dishes.
- Check out with manager daily before leaving shift.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must wear close-toed, non-slip shoes.
- Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Salary/Compensations
- $19.18 - $24.27 Hourly
