About the Role
The Senior Microsoft Alliance Solution Architect enables the Microsoft partnership, collaborating with practice leaders, alliance management, and global Microsoft partnership leadership to align strategy, execution, and outcomes. This role offers high autonomy and broad scope, emphasizing influence, enablement, and orchestration.
Responsibilities
- Operate as a force multiplier across teams and partners, amplifying the impact of practice leadership, alliance management, and Microsoft field engagement through technical clarity and shared execution.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships internally and across Microsoft, recognizing that progress in the Microsoft ecosystem is driven by credibility, collaboration, and consistency.
- Move with speed and intent, balancing strategic foresight with pragmatic execution, and helping teams navigate ambiguity without slowing momentum.
- Enable scale by designing systems, automation, and repeatable motions across marketplace, co-sell, and partner operations.
- Bring ingenuity and curiosity to the work, challenging conventional approaches and co-creating new models for AI-driven, agentic delivery in partnership with others.
- Perform hands-on alliance execution, including maintaining CRM and co-sell hygiene, tracking program and compliance requirements, supporting funding and incentive submissions, coordinating case study production, and ensuring marketplace and Partner Center artifacts remain accurate and current.
- Define and execute strategies to achieve and expand Microsoft Solutions Partner designations and advanced specializations in collaboration with Practice Leadership and Alliance Management.
- Partner with internal leaders to translate Microsoft’s AI, Copilot, and platform roadmap into differentiated offerings and a clear enterprise value proposition.
- Enable thought leadership across the organization by developing playbooks, solution narratives, and executive messaging.
- Act as a strategic advisor to leadership on Microsoft's direction and investment opportunities.
- Serve as a Senior technical counterpart to Microsoft’s Enterprise Partner Solutions (EPS) organization, building durable field relationships with alliance leadership.
- Enable Microsoft co-sell success by aligning architecture, solution design, and customer outcomes.
- Partner with account teams and Microsoft sellers to support complex enterprise conversations requiring technical credibility and future-state thinking.
- Represent the organization at Microsoft events as part of a broader alliance leadership team.
- Enable and optimize participation across Microsoft’s core partner motions, including Partner Center, Microsoft Commercial Marketplace, Azure Migrate & Modernize, ISV Success, and Copilot and AI adoption programs.
- Serve as the architect of alliance systems and automation, designing integration of Partner Center, CRM, pipeline management, marketplace offers, and performance reporting into a scalable operating model.
- Enable a marketplace-led growth motion by partnering with product, marketing, and alliance teams to shape listings, offers, pricing, and GTM motions.
- Continuously evaluate new and emerging Microsoft programs, incentives, and GTM constructs, partnering with leadership to pilot, operationalize, and automate those that accelerate joint growth and customer outcomes.
- Partner deeply with Practice Leadership to embed Microsoft alignment in offerings, delivery models, and roadmaps.
- Enable teams through guidance, architecture standards, training, and reusable assets.
- Help design and champion AI-driven and agentic automation using Azure, Copilot, Power Platform, and related services.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on strategic deals and initiatives where Microsoft alignment is critical.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required.
- 8+ years of experience in Information Technology, Professional Services, Consulting, or Cloud Platforms, with progressive responsibility across architecture, delivery, and partner-facing roles.
- Seasoned technologist capable of discussing Azure architecture and AI platforms in executive and customer settings.
- Understanding of how modern cloud, data, and automation systems are designed and operated in production environments.
- 5–8+ years of direct experience working within the Microsoft ecosystem (strongly preferred and critical for success).
- Experience at a Microsoft Global or Regional Systems Integrator (GSI/SI) or Microsoft-focused professional services organization.
- Experience as a Microsoft Partner Solution Architect, Cloud Solution Architect, or Technical Specialist working closely with Microsoft field, engineering, or partner teams.
- Deep experience operating inside Microsoft partner constructs including co-sell, Partner Center, marketplace, incentives, and enterprise field engagement.
- Demonstrated experience across services delivery, pre-sales / solution architecture, and partner-led sales motions.
- Ability to bridge technical architecture, business outcomes, and go-to-market execution.
- Proven experience working with hyperscale cloud partners (Microsoft Azure required; AWS and/or GCP experience beneficial), with Microsoft being the primary and preferred ecosystem.
- Experienced in designing event-driven Azure architectures.
- Building with Azure OpenAI and Copilot Studio.
- Automating with Power Platform.
- Prototyping with AI coding tools.
- Preferred knowledge of Partner Center APIs and marketplace mechanics.
- Microsoft certifications are strongly preferred.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (highly preferred).
- Demonstrated fluency with AI coding tools (Copilot, Claude, Codex) and shipped working code with them.
