About the Role
Provide professional fitness services, meet client health needs, and support the General Manager in overseeing daily personal training operations. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor with members, guests, and team members.
Responsibilities
- Sell and deliver personal training sessions.
- Schedule and conduct new member onboarding sessions.
- Assist with new member outreach and follow-up with low users.
- Assist members in using safe and effective exercise form.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly fitness floor, including racking weights and cleaning equipment.
- Perform fitness assessments (movement and posture, blood pressure, body composition).
- Support, teach, and encourage members to meet fitness goals.
- Collaborate with all departments.
- Assist in developing and implementing new fitness programs/classes.
- Assist with scheduling coverage of fitness floor hours.
- Assist with payroll.
- Assist with managing the MindBody member management system.
- Administer emergency care to members and guests.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Maintain knowledge of all Active Wellness programs and activities.
- Promote club services and activities.
- Assist with keeping the club well stocked and clean.
- Attend Active Wellness site meetings and trainings.
Requirements
- Minimum one year of fitness experience preferred.
- Current Nationally accredited Personal Training Certification or Health Coach Certification.
- Ability to provide personal training and/or health coaching services.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and highly responsive.
- Commitment to customer service.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Results-oriented.
- Ability to multitask.
- Commitment to the fitness industry.
- AED/CPR/First Aid Certified.
- Proof of citizenship or legal status.

- Must follow OSHA and Active Wellness safety standards.

Salary/Compensations
- $18.00 - $20.00 per hour for administrative duties (approx. 35 hours/week); $30.00 - $55.00 per hour for personal training, health coaching, or group fitness (up to 5 hours/week). Pay varies based on experience, location, specialty, certifications, and business needs.
