Responsibilities

  • Interact with guests throughout their visit, ensuring an engaging and memorable experience.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the brand, production techniques, partnerships, and flavor profiles to educate guests and provide recommendations.
  • Scoop perfect portions for guests according to shop standards.
  • Process transactions accurately using the POS system, handle cash, and provide correct change.
  • Prepare, label, and store waffle batter and cones; operate the waffle iron; maintain a clean waffle station.
  • Adhere to shop, food quality, and safety standards, including cleaning, organization, and product preparation.
  • Replenish retail products, freezers, paper goods, waffle batter, cones, and other supplies.
  • Consolidate ice cream tubs and replenish stock from the walk-in freezer, tempering tubs correctly.
  • Accurately pack Third-Party Delivery orders according to company standards, ensuring correct portioning, packaging, and labeling.
  • Answer phones promptly, providing excellent service and responding to inquiries.
  • Greet guests, manage line flow, answer questions, explain shop options, and promote online ordering and pint purchases.
  • Taste ice cream daily to effectively communicate flavor profiles to customers.

Requirements

  • Valid food handlers' card (required within 30 days of employment or per local requirement).
  • Experience in food service, fast-casual dining, or hospitality-focused industry (preferred).

Skills

  • Ability to learn, discuss, and sample classic and seasonal flavors and products.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to deliver legendary hospitality.
  • Passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
  • Ability to work with diverse individuals.
  • Ability to cooperate and work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work effectively and positively under pressure and changing priorities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a hands-on approach.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Ability to work evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work at least 3 shifts per week, including 2 closing shifts.
