About the Role

The Account Executive Officer (AEO), Technology partners with agents and brokers to provide coverage for new and renewal business for technology software and service providers, electronics manufacturing, medical technology, and pharmaceutical companies. This role serves as a technical resource, requiring decisiveness, detail-orientation, and strong relationship-building skills to drive results. The AEO independently assesses complex risk and sells products in challenging markets to contribute to Travelers' profitability and success.

Responsibilities

Manage the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.
Foster and maintain relationships with external partners by regularly meeting in person with agents and brokers to market and sell Travelers products.
Travel for meetings with agents and brokers.
Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills.
Develop and execute agency sales plans independently.
Partner with Managing Director to develop region/group sales plans.
Assist in the training and mentoring of less experienced Account Executives.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Six to eight years of relevant underwriting experience with commercial lines.
Deep knowledge of commercial lines products, the regulatory environment, and the local insurance market.
Strong critical thinking skills to identify challenges and make timely decisions.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with agents and brokers.
Four years of underwriting, claim, operations, risk assessment, actuarial, sales, product, or finance experience.

Salary/Compensations

Salary Range $109,300.00 - $180,200.00
Eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards
