About the Role

Contigo Catering seeks a Sales Director to drive revenue growth across its four luxury catering and events brands: Contigo Catering, Table Manners, Ocaso Catering, and One Eleven East. Reporting to the VP of Operations and collaborating with the CEO, this role leads a team of six salespeople, owning relationships, pipeline, revenue, and team energy. This is a hands-on selling and leadership position, requiring active participation in closing high-value deals and coaching the team to exceed the $8M revenue target.

Responsibilities

  • Actively manage a book of high-value accounts and key relationships.
  • Lead pitches, tastings, and walkthroughs for top-tier opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key planners, venues, and corporate decision-makers in Austin.
  • Intervene in stalled deals to facilitate closure and provide coaching.
  • Develop and execute the annual sales strategy across all four brands in collaboration with leadership.
  • Manage and forecast an $8M+ revenue target with brand-level breakouts.
  • Drive pipeline growth by coaching outreach, refining pitches, and ensuring team accountability.
  • Approve pricing, contracts, and proposals above defined thresholds, maintaining brand standards.
  • Identify slow periods and develop promotions or outreach plans to fill them.
  • Review sales commissions and approve payouts.
  • Directly manage six sales team members and oversee four to five executive assistants.
  • Conduct weekly brand-specific sales meetings for pipeline review, deal strategy, and accountability.
  • Provide individual coaching, development plans, and clear KPIs for each salesperson.
  • Hold the team accountable for activity, follow-up, and results.
  • Recruit, develop, and manage sales personnel, building a strong talent bench.
  • Translate company vision into actionable priorities for the team.
  • Lead the CRM migration from Total Party Planner to Elecate, building necessary infrastructure.
  • Establish a concise reporting rhythm focused on key metrics: pipeline value, conversion rates, average deal size, win rate by source, and sales cycle length.
  • Maintain a cross-brand relationship tracker for key clients and partners.
  • Identify high-value target accounts, planners, venues, and corporate clients, and develop outreach plans.
  • Represent the company at industry events, planner happy hours, venue open houses, and trade events.
  • Manage and expand key planner and venue referral partnerships.
  • Oversee tastings, site visits, and client entertainment for top-tier opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Operations on planning, execution, and team alignment.
  • Partner with the CEO on major account strategy, brand direction, and high-stakes deals.
  • Work with Marketing to align outreach campaigns, brand positioning, and lead generation.
  • Coordinate with Operations and Culinary to ensure sales promises are deliverable and culinary innovations are integrated into pitches.
  • Conduct coaching sessions and attend client lunches or venue walkthroughs.
  • Participate in weekly pipeline meetings and client tastings.
  • Attend industry events or sponsorship activations.
  • Review proposals, conduct 1:1s with the VP of Operations, and sync with the CEO.
  • Be present onsite at flagship events to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Achieve or exceed the $8M revenue target, demonstrating measurable growth in at least two brands.
  • Personally close a significant book of business.
  • Successfully complete CRM migration to Elecate, ensuring full team adoption and clean pipeline data.
  • Implement a documented sales playbook and rep-level KPIs, with consistent monthly performance reviews.
  • Improve pipeline conversion rates and reduce sales cycle length.
  • Establish at least two new high-value referral partnerships.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing a sales pipeline and a sales team.
  • Proven track record of personally closing significant revenue and achieving team-level targets.
  • Experience building sales infrastructure, including CRM implementations, reporting cadences, commission structures, and sales playbooks.
