About the Role
This role involves owning distinct workstreams within Corporate FP&A, with responsibilities rotating to build deep expertise. Work directly informs Brex's total company business plan and executive reporting, offering immediate exposure and ownership. The position is a core contributor to AI-first initiatives and the financial systems roadmap, requiring an AI-first approach to all workflows.
Responsibilities
- Own forecasting and planning processes, managing operational models and collaborating with stakeholders to drive business recommendations.
- Review, evaluate, maintain, and improve financial models for OKRs and operational/financial reporting.
- Participate in budgeting, forecasting, headcount planning, and G&A finance processes.
- Own monthly management reporting and bi-weekly rolling forecast processes for executive leadership.
- Support Finance Business Partners in creating Budget vs. Actuals materials.
- Build and maintain Finance AI tooling and financial systems infrastructure, automating reporting and scaling team impact.
- Contribute to special projects and ad hoc analyses for senior leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or related field.
- 2+ years of Strategic Finance, FP&A, or Investment Banking experience.
- Possess an AI-first mindset, actively experimenting with new tools and leveraging AI to accelerate analysis or automate tasks.
- Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint, with proven experience in building financial models and managing complex data.
- Strong communication, teamwork, quantitative, and analytical skills.
- Intellectual curiosity, collaborative work style, and drive to take ownership in a fast-moving environment.
- Comfort managing multiple workstreams simultaneously and proactively driving work.
- Bias toward proactive insight over reactive reporting.
- Ability to operate independently, build structure in ambiguous environments, and prioritize effectively.
