About the Role
This individual will assist in all project operations roles under the oversight of a project manager, with the goal of advancing to oversee their own projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance.
- Prepare RFIs and submittals.
- Conduct quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change orders.
- Create and implement job schedules, coordinating with field supervisors and foremen.
- Create and manage punch lists and job closeout documentation.
- Support Quality Control measures outlined in the QA/QC program.
- Assist with other assigned duties.
Requirements
- At least 2 years’ experience supporting or managing construction projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word).
- Clear understanding of how to read and interpret specifications and drawings.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to learn and apply new technical job functions and skills.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask while handling multiple concurrent projects.
- Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and initiative.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Possess critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related discipline (preferred).
- Experience managing specialty scopes of construction (preferred).
- OSHA certification (preferred).
- Local to Austin, TX (preferred).
