About the Role

As a Senior Data Scientist at Circle, you will collaborate with business partners to enhance product understanding, analyze the payments ecosystem, and enable data-driven decision-making. A key focus is on payments, specifically building an exceptional on-chain payments product within the Circle Payment Network. Responsibilities

Partner with the payments team to translate business needs, design and develop core tables, investigate product use, and research on-chain payment products.
Perform strategic analysis and research to identify business improvement opportunities.
Create data visualizations to communicate analytical and data science results across the business.
Build scalable automation solutions using SQL, dashboards, and other tools for the payments team.
Partner with leaders, using clear communication to present business insights and data.
Educate larger audiences on payment products and the ecosystem by sharing results.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in data science.
Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (R or Python) for data manipulation, analysis, and model building.
Strong understanding of statistics and experience applying statistical methods to understand business outcomes and customer behavior.
Proven experience in planning and driving analytical and data science projects.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to convey complex findings and insights to both technical and non-technical partners.
Deep knowledge and/or experience in payments products and services (strong preference).
Deep knowledge and/or experience in exploring blockchain data and public transaction data (strong preference).
