About the Role
This senior leadership role serves as a strategic and operational partner to the Head of Platform Governance and Strategy, responsible for crafting and driving the organization's operating model. It involves end-to-end ownership of strategy translation into execution, leading high-impact, cross-functional initiatives, and establishing scalable systems, processes, and governance frameworks. This highly visible position combines strategy, operations, and execution leadership, acting as a force multiplier for the leadership team by driving alignment across Product, Engineering, Risk, Legal, and Operations to ensure critical priorities are met.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the organizational operating model for Platform Governance planning, prioritization, and work completion.
- Build scalable governance and assurance frameworks to evaluate impact, exposure, and performance.
- Lead a centralized portfolio of cross-functional strategic initiatives and deliver against business outcomes.
- Drive executive alignment, decision-making, and communication among senior leadership.
- Partner with the leader of Platform Governance to build organizational strategy and translate it into actionable roadmaps and priorities.
- Own annual and quarterly planning processes, including prioritization, resource alignment, and dependency management.
- Establish and evolve operating rhythms, governance forums, and decision-making frameworks across the organization.
- Maintain a forward-looking view of risks, trade-offs, and strategic opportunities.
- Own and coordinate a collection of high-priority, cross-functional initiatives, ensuring delivery against strategic objectives.
- Define success metrics and accountability structures across programs.
- Drive alignment across senior partners and resolve competing priorities.
- Step into ambiguous, high-impact problem spaces to structure, scope, and lead execution.
- Design and implement scalable governance frameworks to assess program effectiveness, risk, and compliance.
- Build and maintain a centralized view of organizational commitments, performance, and interdependencies.
- Lead structured reviews of key initiatives and risk areas, ensuring proactive mitigation and visibility.
- Identify and drive opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and organizational clarity.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing structured insights and recommendations.
- Lead development of executive-level narratives, including board materials and strategic updates.
- Drive clarity and alignment across cross-functional leaders through effective communication and facilitation.
- Ensure decisions are documented, communicated, and completed effectively.
Requirements
- 10–15+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, or program leadership roles within technology or marketplace environments.
- Proven experience operating at the executive level, influencing senior partners, and driving organizational outcomes.
- Consistent track record of leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives with significant business impact.
- Strong systems thinker with the ability to design and scale operating models and governance frameworks.
- Outstanding communication and storytelling skills, with experience supporting executive and board-level discussions.
- Experience in a Chief of Staff, Business Operations, or Strategy role strongly preferred.
- Ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments and drive clarity at scale.
