About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to join our Assurance and Advisory Team to support President’s Choice Bank (PC Bank), a Schedule I Canadian chartered bank. PC Bank offers a suite of credit card and deposit MasterCard products and services with Canada’s largest loyalty reward program.
Responsibilities
- Simultaneously lead the planning, execution and reporting of multiple high-priority and high-visibility Assurance and Advisory engagements
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve existing business processes and provide independent assurance
- Deliver and present highly visual, creative, client-focused deliverables and presentations
- Champion client specific initiatives to enhance the quality of our service delivery
- Manage client relationships and communication around the project lifecycle with senior leadership
- Proactively develop and own relationships with key stakeholders in the business
- Manage and lead the delivery teams, while participating as an active member
- Mentor team members through coaching, counselling, and leading by example
- Review the quality of the fieldwork and deliverables prepared by team members
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field
- CPA, CIA or MBA is a strong asset
- 7+ years of experience in banking/ financial services, credit/debit card operations, management consulting, internal/ external audit
- Experience at big 4 firms, banks or financial institutions is strongly desired
- 2+ years of supervisory and leadership experience effectively developing and leading teams with a hands-on approach
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to connect the dots between business strategy, tactics, risks, and the control environment
- Significant exposure to risk/control mindset & frameworks
- Superior communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels (both written and verbal)
- Candidates who are 18 years or older are required to complete a criminal background check.
