About the Role
Drive the architecture and evolution of Sephora's marketing platforms, designing and delivering innovative, scalable, and AI-powered solutions for personalized client experiences across all touchpoints. Lead a team passionate about transforming client beauty discovery and experience through technology.
Responsibilities
- Serve as technical lead for Marketing Technology initiatives, providing architectural guidance and hands-on expertise across web, mobile, and in-store platforms.
- Design, implement, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure full-stack systems for marketing campaigns, retail media, and personalization platforms.
- Architect and implement AI-powered agentic workflows for software development acceleration and business process automation, leveraging modern orchestration frameworks.
- Partner with product managers, designers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Champion and enforce engineering best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines.
- Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers, fostering innovation, learning, and accountability, including upskilling on AI-assisted development.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a full-stack software engineer, technical lead, or senior engineer building production systems from first principles.
- 3+ years of experience designing and implementing microservices, RESTful/GraphQL APIs, and cloud-based distributed systems on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience building or integrating AI/ML-powered features and agentic workflows into production applications.
- 3+ years of experience in a MarTech, SaaS, e-commerce, or consumer-facing application environment.
- 2+ years of proven experience leading cross-functional technical initiatives, driving architectural decisions, and mentoring engineering teams.
- Demonstrated daily use of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor.

- $178,380.00 - $198,200.00 annual base salary
