About the Role

The Staffing Coordinator establishes seamless staffing for the Nursing department.

Responsibilities

• Complete monthly nursing department schedules.
• Plan daily staffing needs.
• Obtain staffing coverage for unplanned absences, holidays, vacations, and sick time.
• Post daily and monthly completed staffing schedules promptly.
• Provide staffing coverage for call-outs and sick calls.
• Activate staffing chain calls during emergencies or weather events as per policy.
• Complete weekly payroll for nursing department staff.
• Assist Director of Nursing (DON) and/or Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) with special projects.
• Maintain excellent personal time and attendance.
• Conduct routine time and attendance audits as directed by DON and submit to DON/ADON.

Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of office work experience.
• Healthcare industry experience preferred.
• Experience as a Staffing Coordinator or in scheduling within long-term care or skilled nursing home highly preferred.
• Covid-19 vaccinations encouraged but not mandated.
