About the Role

Reporting to the Store Manager, the Assistant Store Manager leads key aspects of their store’s business by attracting, leading, and developing Team Members. This role drives business results by ensuring the in-store experience aligns with Saje's commitment to providing excellent service and spreading global wellness. The Assistant Store Manager balances an operational mindset, strong business acumen, and a people-centric approach to increase productivity and profitability.

Responsibilities

Attract, hire, and train Team Members committed to creating conditions for financial wellness.
Engage, develop, and retain Team Members by leveraging their expertise and unique skillsets.
Create and maintain a succession strategy.
Administer mid-year and annual reviews, set goals, and deliver regular feedback.
Partner with the Store Manager to create annual and quarterly strategic plans to support business growth.
Generate business results and achieve key KPIs including revenue and comp growth goals, AVS, IPT, traffic, conversion, loyalty program growth, and labor targets.
Display strong business acumen and analytical skills to grow the store business.
Ensure Team Members have product knowledge for intentional recommendations.
Uphold presentation standards and assess/action merchandising opportunities.
Cultivate excellent community member service and spread wellness through the in-store experience.
Proactively and innovatively grow the business through community outreach.
Inspire and uplift the team through coaching, collaboration, and embodying core values.
Prioritize culture, with a commitment to personal growth and self-awareness.
Create a team environment where all Team Members experience belonging and inclusion.

Requirements

Comfortable working in a scented environment.
Passionate about engaging with Community Members in a personalized, hands-on way.
Inspirational and dynamic leader, naturally warm and compassionate with a drive to exceed results.
Deep understanding of the Retail environment with proven sales floor leadership.
Excited to share products and educate on unique formulations.

Proven track record of achieving or exceeding success metrics.

Able to have a flexible work schedule with availability on mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Commits to being available each year during the vacation black-out period (November 15-January 15).
