About the Role
Provide active and effective learning for students across all educational settings, serving as a professional and academic role model. Deliver high-quality instruction, combining theoretical knowledge with practical experience, develop and implement curriculum, assess student progress, and ensure adherence to industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Organize and deliver class objectives clearly and concisely
- Foster and maintain an orderly, controlled, and safe environment for students in classrooms and labs
- Maintain and prepare training aids, tools, and equipment in the classroom and lab
- Maintain curriculum accuracy by staying current on industry standards and practices
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and practical assessments
- Provide constructive feedback and support to students for academic and professional success
- Identify and report on at-risk students; create individualized success plans to mitigate attrition
- Foster relationships with students to help them meet program competency requirements
- Provide periodic and ad-hoc reporting to stakeholders
- Meet with students and education personnel to discuss instructional programs and related issues
- Provide and maintain regular, substantive interaction with students in online course components
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress
- Deliver engaging lectures and lab sessions on assigned topics, diagnostic procedures, equipment operation, and troubleshooting
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Direct and specialized knowledge in the area of instruction
- Expertise in the area of assignment demonstrating skills needed to provide instruction
- Ability to use hearing and sight (both near and far vision)
- Ability to communicate with students and provide direct instruction
- Ability to use fine motor skills to operate personal computers, manual and electrical equipment (dental, automotive, mechanical, nursing, etc.), and various diagnostic or procedure equipment
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds with assistance
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to provide instruction in labs and demonstrate procedures
- Ability to safely ambulate and/or maneuver when on-site at Company locations
- Ability to follow all safety precautions including the use of personal-protective equipment
- Ability to adhere to site-specific safety procedures
- Remote and hybrid worksites must meet minimum technical standards for eligibility and participation
