About the Role
Responsible for picking, scanning, labeling, moving, staging, replenishing, and stacking product. Counts and inspects product, reporting damages or discrepancies. Operates equipment safely and efficiently, meeting company objectives for performance, safety, and quality, while complying with policies.
Responsibilities
- Accurately pick orders using a pallet jack to fulfill client demands
- Efficiently and accurately pick and stage products in appropriate areas
- Stack, package, band, shrink wrap, and label products according to client requirements
- Process all picking functions as defined by Standard Operating Procedures
- Use appropriate documentation to ensure products and orders are received, handled, and shipped correctly
- Verify products and orders meet quality standards, reporting any damages or discrepancies
- Execute all safety protocols and perform job tasks in a manner that promotes safety
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the facility and work area
- Assist in warehouse security
- Comply with all Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site-specific policies, safety rules, and OSHA/SDS Standards
- Operate equipment, including a pallet jack, safely and efficiently following prescribed work methods
- Maintain upkeep of equipment and report equipment problems
- Perform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Work overtime as dictated by business, whether mandatory or voluntary
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures (mild to moderate) during warmer and colder months
- 6 months experience working in a warehouse/logistics/distribution environment (preferred)
- Current or prior MHE certification (preferred)
Skills
- English (reading, writing, verbal)
- Basic to intermediate mathematical skills to verify quantities, count inventory, or perform other duties
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to accomplish job tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance
- Ability to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-paced work environment
