About the Role
Responsible for picking, scanning, labeling, moving, staging, replenishing, and stacking product. Counts and inspects product, reporting damages or discrepancies. Accountable for safe and efficient equipment operation and all assigned duties. Expected to meet company objectives in performance, safety, and quality, complying with all corporate and site-specific policies.
Responsibilities
- Use a pallet jack to accurately pick orders to fulfill client demands.
- Efficiently and accurately pick products and stage them in appropriate areas.
- Stack, package, band, shrink wrap, and label products as determined by client requirements.
- Process all picking functions as defined by Standard Operating Procedures.
- Use appropriate documentation to ensure products and orders are received, handled, and shipped correctly.
- Verify products and/or orders meet quality standards, including reporting any damages or discrepancies.
- Execute all safety protocols and accomplish all job tasks in a manner that promotes safety.
- Maintain a clean, neat, orderly work area and assist in warehouse security.
- Comply with all Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site-specific policies, safety rules, and OSHA/SDS Standards.
- Maintain equipment and report equipment problems.
- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner, following prescribed work methods.
- Perform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Work overtime as dictated by business, whether mandatory or voluntary.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Ability to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during warmer and colder months (mild to moderate).
- 6 months experience working in a warehouse/logistics/distribution environment (preferred).
- Current or prior MHE certification (preferred).
Skills
- English (reading, writing, verbal).
- Basic to intermediate mathematical skills to verify quantities, count inventory, or perform duties related to handling, storing, and distributing products.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to accomplish job tasks in a timely manner.
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance.
- Ability to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-paced work environment.
