About the Role

PCI is seeking an experienced Joinery Foreman for its West Coast Marine operations.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with customers and crew for safe and productive joinery installations.
  • Recruit and train field team members.
  • Ensure crew safety, performance, productivity, and work quality for assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with superintendent and project manager on project startup, execution, and closeout.
  • Optimize scheduling of material, manpower, and crew mix using look-ahead schedules, manpower forecasts, and project specifications.
  • Direct and assign crew field activities to maximize productivity while maintaining PCG standards.
  • Build positive relationships with trades, vendors, co-workers, and customers.
  • Represent the branch and corporation professionally and positively onsite.
  • Utilize available technology for efficient job task performance.
  • Perform all job duties in a constant state of alertness and safely.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years of shipbuilding and joinery work experience.
  • Strong understanding of joinery systems on Commercial, MSC, and US Navy vessels.
  • Shipbuilding experience in New Construction and/or Repair/Modernization.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a Foreman/Supervisor role.
  • Willingness to travel and/or relocate for projects.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Proficient in reading shop drawings.
  • Managed a crew size of 20+ craftsmen.
  • Proficient in quality control.
  • Physically able to perform assigned tasks.
