About the Role
Cleveland Clinic London is seeking a Senior Clinical Pharmacist – Oncology to help establish guidelines, policies, and protocols for their developing Oncology Centre. This role will transition into a patient-facing position as the service grows, requiring adaptability to evolving service needs.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and implementation of pharmacy service standards, guidelines, and care pathways relevant to oncology.
- Support the introduction of new medicines, commissioning decisions, and treatment protocols in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Lead the day-to-day clinical pharmacy service to oncology and haematology patients across inpatient wards, the chemotherapy day unit, and outpatient clinics.
- Act as an authorised pharmacist in the pharmacy aseptic unit, undertaking prescription validation and release of chemotherapy, biological, and CIVAS products.
- Develop and maintain up-to-date oncology pharmaceutical guidelines, protocols, and Patient Group Directions.
Requirements
- Completion of a master’s degree in pharmacy (or equivalent) is essential.
- Post graduate clinical diploma in clinical pharmacy (hospital) or equivalent experience is essential.
- Full registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) is essential.
- BOPA passport - level 2c adult solid tumour and haematology modules is desirable.
- Significant experience in oncology and/or haematology pharmacy is essential.
- Experience of clinical verification of SACT prescriptions is essential.
- This role may be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
