About the Role

BRG Healthcare Analytics professionals deliver data-driven, independent, and innovative approaches to complex legal, regulatory, and business challenges. This mid-level consulting position focuses on harnessing and analyzing large amounts of electronic healthcare data to provide meaningful insights to clients including payors, providers, life sciences companies, and legal/financial firms. The role involves leading and executing qualitative or quantitative engagement work streams, including statistical and financial analysis design, financial data modeling, quality control, client deliverable development, task delegation, and industry research.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage various aspects of small to medium sized client engagements and discrete segments of larger projects
  • Develop and maintain electronic databases, spreadsheets, and other files as dictated by project needs
  • Perform and lead detailed research and analysis (e.g., gather, review, and summarize literature and data from the public domain, specialized industry resources, or client, public, and commercial databases)
  • Demonstrate creativity and efficient use of relevant software tools, analytical methods, and computer models to develop solutions
  • Lead and develop analyses and financial models using transactional data and/or financial data
  • Provide valuable contributions to client deliverables and expert reports
  • Delegate tasks and assignments to junior staff while prioritizing assignments and responsibilities to meet goals and deadlines

Requirements

  • Prior experience in healthcare/litigation consulting is highly preferred
  • Ability to independently execute complex data analytics in either SQL or R at an advanced level is required
  • Proficiency in additional programming languages (Python, STATA, SAS, etc.) is considered a plus
  • Prior experience providing mentorship and delegating project tasks to junior team members
  • Commitment to producing high-quality analysis and attention to detail
  • Keen interest in economic or financial analysis and research
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Desire to work in a team environment
  • Candidate must be able to submit verification of his/her legal right to work in the U.S., without company sponsorship
