About the Role
Interactive Brokers (U.K.) Limited is seeking an Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) analyst to conduct thorough reviews of existing higher-risk client accounts. This role offers exposure to a business with a wide range of products and client types globally, contributing to the company's mission of simplifying and enhancing financial opportunities through advanced technology.
Responsibilities
- Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews on existing IBKR customers based on client risk ratings.
- Critically evaluate information from public searches, source of funds/wealth, beneficial ownership, and database checks.
- Review regulatory inquiries and cashiering activity to identify suspicious behavior.
- Evaluate, resolve, or recommend actions on negative news, red flags, or potential PEP matches.
- Support the Head of EDD by addressing inquiries and escalations related to the KYC/EDD program.
- Collaborate with AML, Trade Surveillance, and Special Investigations teams.
- Achieve key performance indicators to meet EDD program reporting requirements.
- Ensure adherence to firm's KYC and EDD procedures to meet regulatory expectations and AML policies.
- Liaise with the 1st Line of Defense (1LOD) on new initiatives, products, and services.
- Assist in collating information for external auditor, regulatory, and government body visits.
- Ensure AML policies and procedures remain up-to-date and are properly distributed.
- Develop communication with international counterparts to share best practices and regulatory updates.
Requirements
- At least 2+ years of experience in AML compliance, preferably within a large broker, financial institution with a European client base, or an EU/UK regulator.
- Good knowledge of EU and UK regulations and European Directives concerning KYC/EDD/CIP.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Intermediate experience with MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and within a small team.
