About the Role
Responsible for selling Masimo’s Capnography Portfolio, emphasizing Procedural Sedation and hospital-wide conversions. This role requires a collaborative, clinically curious, and solution-focused individual with a passion for improving patient outcomes and driving customer value. The Sales Representative serves as a proactive sales team member, collaborating with the Acute Team to secure new business and grow existing business within an assigned territory. This position also assists Account Managers in tasks to obtain new sales and renew existing contracts.
Responsibilities
- Utilize Masimo’s established sales process to convert competitive accounts to Masimo technology.
- Track all opportunities in Salesforce.com, updating weekly.
- Conduct and assist clinical specialists with Capnography Assessments as part of the sales process.
- Conduct presentations discussing Masimo’s value proposition.
- Drive Masimo Capnography (Procedural Sedation) True Incremental agreements for new conversions and renewals.
- Drive capital product sales for Capnography in the assigned territory.
- Actively articulate information from clinical studies regarding Masimo technologies.
- Identify and develop working relationships with clinical thought leaders at strategic accounts to position Masimo’s Capnography solutions.
- Collaborate with Masimo Team Members, including Corporate Accounts, IDN, and Clinical Specialists, providing critical market trend and competitive activity information to marketing and management.
- Maintain and hone high-level strategic and tactical selling skills, seeking self-improvement and implementing best practices.
- Organize and conduct user seminars on the compelling needs and benefits of Masimo’s solutions.
- Create and maintain a CRM database of key account information, including profiles, status updates, next steps for VCCCs, and sales opportunities with realistic forecast data.
- Coordinate clinical evaluations of Masimo’s Capnography technologies to establish vocal, credible clinical champions (VCCCs).
- Conduct annual business reviews with current customers and internal stakeholders.
- Perform other duties and projects as requested.
Requirements
- 2+ years of successful hospital-based sales experience, specifically selling innovative technology solutions to clinicians.
- Documented success selling medical devices or emerging technology to multiple call points and decision makers within the hospital setting.
- Successful history managing customer interactions, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills and exceptional ability to lead group presentations.
- Ability to persuade clinicians to consider and embrace new ideas, emphasizing new patient care processes based on clinical evidence and innovative technologies.
- Ability to perform clinical evaluations of Masimo technology, including research and focus groups.
- Ability to communicate value-based solutions.
- Ability to travel and perform overnight stays.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Successful history of selling innovative, paradigm-shifting patient care solutions (preferred).
- Successful track record selling breakthrough concepts (preferred).
- Demonstrated ability in building clinical champions (preferred).
- Background knowledge in critical care/respiratory therapy credentials (preferred).
- Background knowledge of selling in hospital environments including Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology Lab, GI Endoscopy Lab, and Emergency Department (preferred).

Salary/Compensations
- Anticipated salary: $90,000 plus benefits
- Variable compensation up to $115,000 at 100% of annual sales objectives
