About the Role
Kennedy Jenks is seeking a detail-oriented, service-driven Civil Engineer with a focus on water and wastewater projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of conveyance facilities, utility infrastructure, and treatment process improvement projects in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare designs, specifications, drawings, and calculations with support from senior engineers
- Assist the Project Manager as needed
- Provide technical expertise to multidisciplinary project teams
- Write technical reports and maintain accurate project documentation
- Support project management efforts from conception to construction
- Lead small projects and attend internal and external meetings as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 6+ years of civil engineering experience
- Water/wastewater focus preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in California
- Experience with site design (layout, grading, drainage) and water/wastewater piping design preferred
- Knowledge of site layout, grading, drainage, and pipeline/yard piping design
- Ability to grow technical expertise
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of industry standards, codes, and regulations
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills
