About the Role
This role offers a unique opportunity to lead digital development using Microsoft cloud technologies, including SharePoint, Power Platform, Azure, and M365, to deliver impactful solutions for major clients. The experienced Developer specializing in SharePoint & Power Platform will lead the Digital Development team supporting one of Mace’s largest clients. Responsibilities include contributing to digital tool development, processes, and outputs, and directly managing SharePoint and Power Platform assets. The role involves interfacing with the Mace project team, client stakeholders, Digital professionals, and senior leadership, while being part of a global Digital Services community for knowledge sharing.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Digital leadership roles (regional, global, specialist).
- Facilitate communication and alignment between global leadership and regional resources.
- Conduct periodic project audits to ensure policy compliance.
- Lead recruitment for your specialist area across global regions.
- Oversee onboarding for new Digital Development starters, including induction.
- Implement and ensure consistent application of strategy and policy for your specialism across regions.
- Identify and plan training and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain career frameworks, including job descriptions, family definitions, and salary bands.
- Inform the global team about product updates and functionality.
- Support performance appraisals for service-aligned resources.
- Evaluate and recommend software packages relevant to your service.
- Manage developer license applications for Digital Developers.
- Oversee creation and management of workspaces and development environments.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience with SharePoint and Power Platform, including building Power Apps and Power Automate flows.
- Knowledge of PnP PowerShell for site schema creation and task automation.
- Experience integrating Power Apps with external services via custom connectors, REST APIs, and web services.
- Ability to create efficient Flows using advanced features like error handling, parallel branches, and conditions.
- Knowledge of Software Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) processes and experience managing deployments across Dev, UAT, and Prod environments.
- Relevant Microsoft certification (e.g., PL-200 / PL-400) (desirable).
- Experience in a consultancy environment and managing stakeholders (clients, colleagues, data owners).
- Prior experience managing a team, including remote colleagues.
- Willingness to share knowledge and support others' development.
- Confidence to ask questions, make suggestions, and challenge the status quo.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and strong presentational skills.
