About the Role

Manage overarching strategy, client relationships, and integrated campaigns for diverse creative and innovative brands across food & beverage, wellness, and consumer tech. This role involves concepting novel initiatives for social virality and press headlines, and overseeing a team of talented junior staffers.

Responsibilities

  • Drive long-term strategy and create tentpole campaigns for clients on retainer and project-based engagements.
  • Manage expectations, set goals, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring client KPIs are met or exceeded.
  • Originate innovative ideas to strengthen client marketplace positioning and earn attention through press or earned talkability.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to create and execute integrated campaigns.
  • Participate in new business meetings and proposals, contributing to business development and growth.
  • Manage and mentor junior team members and freelancers, ensuring work quality and breadth.
  • Provide thought leadership, elevating client work and pushing influencer marketing & PR boundaries.
  • Lead overall management and execution of paid and earned influencer programming across various platforms.
  • Manage budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness and strong ROI.
  • Maintain a deep and diversified rolodex of influencer and agent relationships, negotiating efficient rates.
  • Develop insights capturing quantitative and qualitative results based on relevant metrics.
  • Generate earned press strategies with message development, target verticals, and an emphasis on new media.
  • Maintain a deep and diversified rolodex of press contacts for placements.
  • Secure feature stories and placements.
  • Shape ideas from clients and agency partners for maximum earned impact, providing diplomatic guidance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-8+ years of relevant experience in influencer marketing and earned PR (agency or in-house).
  • Experience negotiating contracts.
  • Experience creating and managing successful influencer campaigns.
  • Experience maintaining a strong network of influencer, agent, and media relationships.
  • Capable of understanding client businesses and providing strategic counsel.
  • Proven track record of developing strategic influencer and press campaigns that achieve client goals and KPIs.
  • Ability to monitor progress of personal and team deliverables and campaign pipelines.
  • Ability to provide project management to teams.
  • Detail-oriented, diligent with formatting, double-checking, and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to implement systems that improve efficiency and quality.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to instill client confidence.
  • Comfortable leading calls with senior clients, guiding discussions to actionable outcomes.
  • Ability to analyze performance, develop insights, and deliver reports with actionable insights.
