About the Role

Lead HGA's digital presence and shape expertise across all channels. This role defines HGA's voice, narrative, and point of view, serving as the firm's editorial lead. It sets strategic vision, standards, and the annual content agenda, ensuring effective content activation through integrated distribution across web, social, video, email, and paid channels. The role owns the firmwide editorial calendar, translates content priorities into channel strategies, and guides paid search and campaign planning. It leads a multidisciplinary team, connecting content strategy, marketing systems, and performance measurement to advance brand awareness, client engagement, and business development.

Responsibilities

  • Own HGA's annual editorial calendar, setting strategic themes, priorities, and cadence.
  • Establish governance models and planning processes for content development, review, and distribution.
  • Partner with Market leadership and Business Development to identify priority topics, campaigns, and thought leadership.
  • Set editorial direction and content standards across written, visual, and video storytelling.
  • Oversee content strategy for the firm's website, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other digital platforms.
  • Guide integrated content planning for efficient content reuse, adaptation, and amplification.
  • Define and oversee paid search and campaign strategy, aligning with editorial priorities and business development goals.
  • Provide strategic oversight of key platforms (website, HubSpot), including email marketing, lead nurturing, segmentation, and landing pages.
  • Establish performance benchmarks and reporting frameworks for content and campaigns.
  • Use data and qualitative insights to refine editorial direction, distribution, and campaign performance.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to Brand, Communications, and Market leadership.
  • Directly manage and mentor the Digital Operations Manager, Digital Content Manager, and Content Writer.
  • Set clear priorities, roles, and expectations to drive collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Foster a high-performing team culture balancing strategic thinking with disciplined execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, digital media, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in content strategy, editorial, or integrated marketing roles, preferably within professional services or complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading editorial content across multiple channels (web, social, email, video, paid media).
  • Proven people management experience, with ability to lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary digital and content team.
  • Strong editorial judgment and storytelling skills, translating complex or technical subject matter into clear, compelling content.
  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms, preferably HubSpot, including email marketing, segmentation, workflows, and performance reporting.
  • Experience overseeing website strategy, content governance, and digital platform maintenance.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and apply insights to improve content and campaign performance.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, partnering across disciplines, offices, and leadership levels.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
