About the Role
As a Building Systems Coordinator for PCL Constructors Canada Inc. in Toronto, ON, you'll collaborate with project teams, subtrades, and consultants to ensure building systems are coordinated, optimized, and delivered to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist project team with coordination of building systems trades for compliance to drawings, specifications, quality, and schedule.
- Assist with coordination drawing process.
- Read and understand building systems trade contractor quality-management programs.
- Witness on-site field testing and record results.
- Assist project team with building systems commissioning document deliverables.
- Attend management and architect meetings related to building systems.
- Adhere to and support internal safety programs.
- Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Develop and maintain strong customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Tradesperson or post-secondary diploma/degree in a related discipline (e.g., mechanical, electrical, controls) is preferred.
- Some co-op or relevant experience in a construction environment preferred.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems.
- Familiarity with construction progress and sequencing.
- Effective verbal and written communications skills.
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work in a face-paced environment.
- Planning, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks with conflicting deadlines, and delegate tasks.
- Ability to quickly adapt and become proficient with new software.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
