About the Role
The Customer Supply Chain Specialist acts as a vital link between customers, sales, and internal departments, focusing on building lasting relationships through efficient order management, proactive problem-solving, and clear communication. This role provides comprehensive support to customers throughout the supply chain journey.
Responsibilities
- Accurately process, audit, and manage customer orders in SAP, ensuring availability, compliance, and on-time fulfillment.
- Monitor open orders from receipt through delivery to ensure timely processing and proactive issue resolution.
- Serve as a professional point of contact for customers, responding to inquiries and resolving discrepancies related to stock, availability, shortages, shipment timing, and company policies.
- Follow up on stock shortages, shipping issues, and customer-specific requirements, including ticketing, labeling, and other order fulfillment needs.
- Communicate order delays, shortages, and service impacts to customers in a timely and professional manner to help mitigate fines and protect service levels.
- Complete month-end reporting and closing activities accurately and on schedule.
- Prepare and maintain monthly case fill reports and customer scorecards using Excel to support performance tracking and decision-making.
- Assist with the audit, reconciliation, and clearing of customer non-compliance charges for assigned accounts.
- Process OS&D deductions for assigned customers and provide insights and recommendations to the Customer Supply Chain Manager.
- Identify opportunities to improve current policies, procedures, and workflows, and make recommendations to optimize service and efficiency.
Requirements
- Bilingual English/French is an asset.
- 3–4 years of experience in customer service and order management within an MRP environment, with SAP experience strongly preferred.
- Supply chain and EDI experience preferred.
- Advanced computer skills, including strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel for reporting, analysis, and data management.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively to resolve issues.
- Presentation skills are an asset.
- Post-secondary education required.
- This position will involve the use of AI tools to help screen, assess, or select applicants.
