About the Role
The Superintendent supports the Maintenance Development Lead by overseeing the Maintenance Team and ensuring the property is maintained to provide a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff. This role is responsible for preserving the overall physical condition and operational integrity of the property.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain the property's physical condition.
- Lead, supervise, and support the maintenance team.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, team members, vendors, suppliers, and service professionals.
- Diagnose and perform routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance, including minor and major repairs.
- Manage inventory and maintenance supplies.
- Implement and ensure adherence to preventive maintenance programs and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of full-time maintenance experience.
- Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team.
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and household appliances.
- Willingness to perform hands-on tasks and pursue professional development.
- Strong communication skills, confidence, positive attitude, and ability to interact effectively with diverse groups.
- Ability to pass a 5-year background check.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug testing.
