About the Role

Maintain inventory accuracy to meet store goals and maximize sales by timely receiving and shipping freight. Interact with customers and Team Members, support selling initiatives, and perform assigned tasks while delivering a Legendary Customer Experience. Responsibilities

  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Work scheduled shifts, including varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.
  • Deliver Legendary Customer Service by greeting customers, uncovering needs, recommending solutions, adding value, and appreciating customers.
  • Process inbound and outbound freight.
  • Maintain accurate inventory control and adhere to loss prevention standards.
  • Recover merchandise.
  • Participate in the mandatory freight process.
  • Keep a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Maintain, recover, stock, and tag assigned work areas, including outdoor merchandise displays.
  • Operate cash register/computer following company cash handling procedures.
  • Ensure a Legendary shopping experience.
  • Rotate and dispose of dated products.
  • Assemble merchandise.
  • Operate Forklift.
  • Operate Cardboard Baler.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of birds, sanitize and maintain poultry holding tanks, and care for birds.
  • Complete all associated documentation.
  • Obtain necessary licenses or certifications.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Shipping/receiving experience preferred but not required.
  • Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge strongly preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to read, write, and count accurately.
  • Ability to constantly operate a forklift.
  • Ability to operate and use all necessary store equipment (e.g., dolly, handtruck, forklift, baler, computer, cash register).
  • Ability to push and pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with proper material handling equipment.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or reach merchandise overhead.
  • Ability to move and transfer merchandise, weighing up to 50 pounds, throughout the store.
  • Ability to frequently stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders.
  • Ability to move throughout the store for an entire shift.
  • Ability to safely access all areas of the store including selling floor, side lot, stock area, and register area.
  • Ability to constantly operate store equipment such as computer and cash register.
  • Ability to utilize strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to process information/merchandise through the point-of-sale system.
  • Ability to handle and be in contact with birds/poultry.
  • Ability to successfully complete training and certification to dispense propane.
  • Ability to travel as required in support of district needs.
  • Ability to successfully complete all required training and certification.

Work Type

  • Varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime
  • Shifts no less than 4 hours and may exceed 8 hours

Experience Level

  • Entry-level (shipping/receiving experience preferred but not required)
  • Retail experience preferred
  • Farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge strongly preferred

Education Level

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
