About the Role
BerlinRosen seeks an Account Executive for the Public Affairs team, focusing on strategic communications through competitive research. This role supports issues like land use, urban planning, social issues, housing, economic development, and healthcare. Ideal candidates possess strong writing and organizational skills, with relevant experience in strategic communications, journalism, political campaigns, or government.
Responsibilities
- Implement strategy, creative brainstorming, and campaign planning for high-profile accounts.
- Manage media monitoring and rapid response for accounts.
- Write and edit persuasive external and internal documents, including vetting reports, research memos, and fact sheets.
- Oversee day-to-day client communications, staff weekly calls, analyze press coverage, and write event recaps.
- Manage work streams across multiple accounts.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in strategic communications from politics, government, advocacy, PR agency, media outlet, or in-house communications.
- Clear and effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, work quickly, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate with a team to achieve objectives.
- Internship or relevant experience in strategic communications, journalism, political campaigns, or government.
