About the Role
As the Compliance Manager for PlayRadar, the iGaming unit of Sportradar, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and certification of the compliance programme management framework. Playradar is a next-generation B2B gaming brand redefining how players engage with sport and casino, built on Sportradar’s global leadership in sports data, integrity and technology.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain the compliance management framework for PlayRadar, ensuring adherence to regulatory, technical, and operational requirements across global regulated gaming markets.
- Lead regulatory certification and audit activities for iGaming products, platforms, and integrations, including coordination with regulators, independent testing laboratories, and certification bodies.
- Oversee compliance governance relating to licensing obligations, responsible gambling, AML/KYC controls, information security, and market-specific regulatory requirements.
- Partner closely with product, engineering, legal, security, and operational teams to ensure all platform releases, third-party integrations, and gaming services meet applicable compliance standards.
- Drive continuous improvement of compliance policies, controls, risk assessments, and monitoring processes to support scalable operations across multiple regulated jurisdictions.
- Work in close cooperation with the Sportradar Legal Team, the Sportradar Compliance Team, and the Sportradar Information Security Team.
- Ensure documentation complies with Sportradar Program Delivery Framework standards.
- Support budgeting processes relating to compliance programmes.
- Act as the primary point of contact with regulatory authorities, certification bodies, and testing laboratories to ensure all required standards, policies, approvals, and certifications are in place for PlayRadar’s iGaming content to enter and operate within regulated markets.
- Design and develop programmes, policies, and practices to ensure the organisation complies with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
- Monitor business activities to ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
- Lead compliance and certification projects as the responsible project manager.
- Monitor changes to relevant laws and regulations and coordinate internal updates with team members to ensure operating manuals and procedural documentation remain current and compliant.
- Prepare compliance status reports for internal management and regulatory agencies as required.
- Report on project schedules, scope, and costs to middle management.
- Ensure compliance project roadmaps, milestones, and objectives are delivered within approved budgets.
- Maintain a strong understanding of cross-functional departmental processes and operational workflows.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a related compliance or regulated industry role.
- 1–3 years of supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
- Extensive and proven experience operating across regulated iGaming markets globally.
- Extensive knowledge of regulatory frameworks across UKGC, MGA, SGA, DGOJ, ADM, various U.S. state jurisdictions, and other international gaming regulators.
- Experience managing relationships with regulators, testing laboratories, and certification bodies.
- Proven experience supporting regulatory audits, ISO 27001 frameworks, compliance governance, and security standards across global regulated iGaming markets.
- Skilled in interpreting, translating, and implementing evolving regulatory requirements.
- Experience overseeing game certification and regulatory technical compliance requirements.
- Extensive experience developing compliance governance frameworks, operational policies, and risk management controls.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with legal, product, operations, and technical teams.
- Ability to assess complex information quickly, analyze evidence effectively, and reach well-founded conclusions to proactively identify, investigate, and resolve potential weaknesses within internal controls and compliance processes.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role, as the Compliance Manager will regularly liaise with internal teams, regulatory authorities, external auditors, certification partners, and independent testing laboratories in a highly professional and regulated environment.
