About the Role
You will be responsible for ensuring the system operation, maintaining our radio sites, and supporting radio and antenna technology. This includes customer and participant management, as well as troubleshooting network issues.
Responsibilities
- Ensure system operation and maintenance with a focus on trunked radio systems for stable daily operation.
- Manage radio sites, performing maintenance, repairs, and upkeep on hardware, including hardware replacement and configuration.
- Support antenna work at radio sites and in the field of radio relay and trunked radio technology.
- Provide vacation coverage within the team and ensure structured documentation of systems and activities.
- Manage customer interactions for participant setup, modification, and deletion, serving as a technical point of contact.
- Analyze and resolve faults in various radio networks, contributing to rapid operational recovery.
Requirements
- Technical training (radio electronics technician, IT system electronics technician, information electronics technician, or similar) or comparable qualification.
- Height suitability for mast work.
- Willingness for regional field service.
- Willingness for on-call duty.
- Interest in learning about RF technology (antennas, wave propagation, levels).
- Driver's license class B.
- Experience with trunked radio (TETRA, DMR, PMR) or radio relay.
- RF measurement technology (spectrum, VSWR, antenna measurement).
- Basic Linux knowledge.
- Experience with radio paging networks/POCSAG.
- Relevant professional experience – entry-level with appropriate training is explicitly welcome.
