About the Role

Support the Communications Team (Media Relations) in the communicative preparation, execution, and follow-up of the Munich Security Conference 2027. This includes assisting with journalist accreditation, preparing and organizing media appointments, facilitating interviews and press briefings, and coordinating media partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the accreditation of international journalists.
  • Support the content preparation and organization of media appointments for MSC leadership.
  • Assist with the preparation and execution of interviews, press conferences, and press briefings at MSC 2027.
  • Coordinate (inter)national media partnerships.
  • Support the team in the communicative accompaniment of further MSC events and publications in autumn and winter 2026.

Requirements

  • Very good organizational and improvisation skills.
  • Above-average teamwork, stress resistance, and reliability.
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
  • Very good MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • High resilience, hands-on mentality, and precise, detail-oriented work under time pressure.
  • Interest in foreign and security policy.
  • Very good knowledge of current world events is also advantageous.
  • Previous experience in press and media work (preparation of media appointments, text creation, stakeholder management, etc.) is beneficial.
  • Previous experience in organizing (international) events is beneficial.
  • Previous experience in journalistic work is beneficial.
