About the Role

The Senior Manager will drive business growth and support lawyers with marketing initiatives. This role involves writing and implementing business plans, identifying opportunities, developing unique client offerings, leading a high-impact team, and adding value for clients and lawyers. Responsibilities also include leading business pitches, suggesting go-to-market approaches, positioning the firm to win, and ensuring content accuracy. The Senior Manager will direct efforts to disseminate new information about capabilities and client wins through marketing materials like practice group descriptions and attorney biographies. This position reports to the Senior Director of Business Development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead client teams to create exceptional client experiences, including setting agendas, presenting analysis, making suggestions, summarizing outcomes, and driving action items.
  • Collaborate with Litigation and Transactional Business Development team members to cross-sell and develop bespoke client offerings.
  • Support business development planning with practice leaders and individuals, overseeing target list management, identifying thought leadership opportunities, suggesting client events, and supporting social media efforts.
  • Oversee experience management for applicable practices and marketing collateral creation, updating, and use in pitches, submissions, bios, and web content.
  • Provide business development coaching for lawyers at all levels, in group and individual settings.
  • Partner with colleagues on practice management, client events, communications, content, technology, creative, directories, social media, and recruiting teams for projects.
  • Oversee client continuing legal education events, ensuring a strategic approach to invitations, production, and follow-ups.
  • Stay current on market intelligence to support individual pitch efforts and strategic projects.
  • Create a point of view on the competitive landscape and act as a resource to practice, industry, and office leaders by presenting updates.
  • Work with the CRM team to maintain high-quality client contact data.
  • Take responsibility for the growth, development, and advancement of junior business development team members.
  • Submit to select directories and rankings organizations to raise and promote the firm’s profile.
