About the Role

This London-based role is part of the European Private Infrastructure Asset Management team, focused on delivering value from investments in companies and assets for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in onboarding newly acquired portfolio companies in cooperation with investment teams, Operating Directors, and management.
  • Contribute to defining and refreshing strategic plans.
  • Assist in implementing value creation opportunities.
  • Support ongoing operational improvement, restructuring, or re-engineering initiatives to maximize value creation.
  • Develop relationships with management teams, boards of directors, and service providers under senior guidance.
  • Support and challenge management teams, participating in board meetings as appropriate.
  • Own non-C-level management relationships and act as a sparring partner on strategic workstreams, ensuring sound business cases.
  • Ensure a strong operational focus by reviewing financial and operational performance of portfolio companies and tracking goal achievement.
  • Support due diligence for prospective investments, focusing on commercial, operational workstreams, and value creation plans.
  • Perform activities related to reporting, investment monitoring, market research, internal requests, and marketing.
  • Contribute to the continuous development of asset management processes, tools, best practices, and playbooks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's and/or MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to understand a private equity underwriting and value creation plan (P&L, CF, BS) and translate it into action items and KPIs.
  • Exposure to or interest in transformation programs (strategic planning, implementation support).
  • Developing functional knowledge of operations and SG&A functions (operational excellence, cost saving, operational transformation/restructuring, value creation programs), scaling businesses, and implementing buy-and-build strategies.
  • Strong analytical and financial skillset.
  • Strong team mentality and desire to learn and succeed.
  • Comfortable interacting with management teams, communicating on eye-level, and building credibility with senior stakeholders.
  • Foundational understanding of integrated business planning (P&L, Cash Flow & Balance Sheet), financing, and valuation.
  • Demonstrated strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
  • Emotionally intelligent with the ability to manage diverse relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Able to work independently on defined tasks while collaborating effectively within the team.
  • Team player with strong collaborative skills.
