About the Role
This role supports strategic communications through BerlinRosen’s competitive research practice within the public affairs team. It is ideal for individuals passionate about land use, urban planning, social issues, housing, economic development, and health care. The position requires excellent writing and organizational skills, along with relevant experience in strategic communications, journalism, political campaigns, or government.
Responsibilities
- Implement strategy, creative brainstorming, and campaign planning for high-profile accounts
- Manage media monitoring and rapid response for accounts
- Write and edit persuasive external and internal documents, including vetting reports, research memos, and fact sheets
- Oversee day-to-day client communications, including staffing weekly calls
- Analyze press coverage and write event recaps
- Manage work streams across multiple accounts
Requirements
- Internship or other relevant experience in strategic communications, journalism, political campaigns, and/or government
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in strategic communications from politics, government, advocacy, a PR agency, media outlet, or in-house communications team
