About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious National Account Manager to lead our Cash & Carry channel within the Away From Home business. This role is for someone with strong commercial drive to deliver at pace, meet objectives, and grow relationships for sustainable performance. You will own multiple Cash & Carry Wholesalers, identify new business opportunities, and maintain high customer engagement. This is an opportunity to develop commercial skills, work with internal stakeholders, and build external customer relationships. As a channel and customer expert, you will guide business growth and support customer success. You will report to the Route to Market lead within the Away From Home team, contributing to the company's 10-year strategic growth plan.
Responsibilities
- Manage a complex set of customers, including national and regional Cash & Carry Wholesalers.
- Conduct regular visits to key customers and attend trade shows.
- Lead commercial meetings and engage in tough negotiations.
- Build Joint Business Plans (JBPs) based on data analysis and KPIs.
- Deliver solution-focused plans to grow the P&L of $24M+.
- Optimize distribution, drive best-in-class engagement and execution.
- Close core listing gaps and launch innovation.
- Engage wholesalers through tradeshows, supplier days, and other activities.
- Utilize data and analytical skills to build engaging stories and address customer needs.
- Analyze market data and insights to identify new business opportunities.
- Own forecasting and performance management for the channel through data analysis and customer knowledge.
- Act as the main business contact for account maintenance and interact with internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to apply creative ideas in-store and online.
Requirements
- Bachelor's / Master's degree preferred.
- Technical proficiencies in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Prior experience in customer relationship management is critical.
- Demonstrated ability and confidence to sell commercial propositions.
- Sound negotiation skills.
- Consistent track record of problem-solving as an owner.
- Experience taking on entrepreneurial challenges and simplifying the complex.
- Wholesale selling or buying experience is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify and deal with diverse stakeholders.
- Strategic capabilities and experience in marketing and sales strategy development.
- Experience in situational and trend analysis.
- Project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects to completion.
- Ability to work well with and manage cross-functional teams.
