About the Role
This role involves leading a team of 5-7 Point of Care Solution Specialists, driving sales in the growing Point of Care diagnostics industry across Hospital and Outpatient customer segments. The manager will provide leadership, motivation, coaching, and skill development to sales representatives, ensuring the execution of sales strategies for financial goal attainment, strong customer loyalty, and staff development. This position contributes to Abbott’s tradition of introducing new products and technologies that enhance possibilities for people at all life stages.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 5-7 Point of Care Solution Specialists
- Generate sales in the Point of Care diagnostics industry
- Provide leadership, motivation, coaching, skill development, and knowledge sharing to sales representatives
- Lead the team to execute sales strategies for financial goal attainment, customer loyalty, and staff development
- Hire, develop, and coach sales professionals
- Execute complex, long-term sales strategies to address customer pain-points and maximize partnerships
- Work in the field with the sales team to identify customer and competitor insights, market and industry challenges
- Apply APOC product solutions to drive long-term strategies and foster enduring customer relationships
- Ensure achievement of sales and commercial objectives across the assigned district
- Develop and execute plans to accelerate district sales growth and increase market share
- Take an entrepreneurial approach to increase district profitability
- Partner with cross-functional internal APOC colleagues to ensure customers meet contractual obligations
- Champion new initiatives and identify opportunities to build a culture of collaboration within the district
- Build strong relationships with Distribution partners to maximize top-line growth and profitability for APOC
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in a healthcare, diagnostics, point of care (POC), lab, or capital equipment sales environment
- 3+ years of experience leading, developing, training, and mentoring direct reports
- Must reside in the district
- Ability to travel up to 80% in assigned district and other business locations
Skills
- Strong MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) skills
- Proficiency in Salesforce.com or similar CRM platforms
- Ability to build high-performing sales teams

- Extensive travel required within assigned district and other business locations

Salary/Compensations
- $113,300.00 – $226,700.00
