About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to join our Commercial team on the Sydney Metro West Linewide Project. This role is responsible for the effective management of subcontract procurement, contract administration, and cost control to support the successful commercial delivery of the project. You will work closely with delivery and engineering teams ensuring procurement strategies and subcontract scopes of work align with construction methodologies and programme requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Draft scopes of work for tender packages to accompany requests for quotation issued to the supply chain.
  • Be part of initial tender interviews with subcontractors to clarify their terms, conditions, and exclusions.
  • Identify, assess, and negotiate departures from head contract terms within subcontract agreements to manage risk and protect the project’s commercial position.
  • Proactively manage subcontract variations, claims, and change events, ensuring timely assessment, negotiation, and resolution to minimise commercial exposure.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in project management systems, including Project Cost Reporting (PCR), Project Pack Web (PPW), Aconex, TeamBinder, SharePoint.
  • Monitor subcontractor financial performance and cash flow, contributing to project cost reporting, forecasting, and overall commercial performance.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate cost forecasts for allocated subcontracts and cost codes, typically in collaboration with delivery and engineering teams.
