About the Role
Ericsson is seeking an experienced EHSW leader to take full ownership of the health, safety, and wellbeing function for their operations in Australia and New Zealand. This role involves governing physical, psychological, and environmental risks, ensuring compliance across two distinct regulatory environments, and integrating EHSW as a strategic input into commercial decisions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement EHSW strategy for Australia and New Zealand, aligned with Ericsson's global framework and regional risk profile.
- Lead serious injury and fatality prevention initiatives, including critical control verification, precursor monitoring, and field leadership.
- Govern psychosocial risks across all Australian and New Zealand jurisdictions, meeting and strengthening regulatory obligations.
- Manage workers' compensation performance, including premiums, claims, and return-to-work programs.
- Oversee occupational health, environmental compliance, crisis management integration, and legal compliance across Australian and New Zealand frameworks.
- Lead, develop, and shape a small specialist EHSW team.
Requirements
- Senior EHSW leadership experience at a country or multi-site level.
- Familiarity with both Australian and New Zealand operating environments.
- Experience designing psychosocial risk programs.
- Experience leading organizations through serious incidents and regulatory scrutiny.
- Experience with accountability for workers' compensation outcomes.
- Understanding of high-risk field operations and contractor governance.
- Credibility to influence senior stakeholders.
- Courage to raise uncomfortable risks.
- Ability to drive outcomes without direct authority over all business areas.
