About the Role
Join BINGO Industries as a Safety Officer during an exciting chapter of growth, supporting the success of the company's health and safety objectives.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the management and maintenance of BINGO's Work Health & Safety (WHS) components.
- Conduct regular WHS audits and inspections.
- Ensure appropriate risk identification, assessments, and control measures are in place.
- Review WHS requirements as per BINGO's contractor management processes.
- Maintain risk management processes and critical control objectives.
- Lead and support the incident management process and incident investigations.
- Coordinate and facilitate WHS consultation and communication.
- Assist in the coordination of BINGO’s Return to Work and Injury Management programs.
- Advise Operations Teams on best practice and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications and/or prior experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience in, or strong knowledge of management systems including ISO 45001 Occupational health and safety management systems or similar.
- An understanding of the waste/recycling industry or similar high hazard industry.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting safety audits.
- Excellent communication and the ability to engage effectively at all levels with stakeholders.
