About the Role

This role supports cargo operations and manages all cargo office requirements in Australia, ensuring efficient and safe logistics for Air Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Manage station ULD inventories and coordinate with Cargo Network Control and GHA.
  • Implement load plans and coordinate with warehouse and ramp teams for optimal space and weight utilization.
  • Monitor GHA data entries for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Verify shipment and ULD data in cargo and load control systems.
  • Ensure GHA activities align with Air Canada safety policies and SOPs.
  • Maintain relationships with interline carriers for smooth cargo transfers.
  • Monitor Cargo iQ scores and implement corrective actions.
  • Support and monitor GHA load planning and weight and balance system entries.
  • Monitor and coordinate ramp activities.
  • Handle customer enquiries regarding imports and exports.
  • Manage operational irregularities and disruptions.
  • Maintain office administrative supplies and stationery.
  • Monitor ULD build-up for sensitive products to prevent damage or pilferage.
  • Manage uncleared AWB lists and coordinate with GHA and overseas offices.
  • Supervise loading operations on the ramp.
  • Work according to a roster.
  • Coordinate with sales teams to maximize space and weight utilization.
  • Ensure cargo safety and security through document compliance checks.
  • Coordinate rebooking and necessary actions during aircraft maintenance disruptions.
  • Build rapport with GHA representatives.
  • Participate in regular meetings with GHA to address operational issues.
  • Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned by the Manager.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree.
  • Good airfreight industry knowledge.
  • Minimum 5 years of related work experience.
  • Must be eligible to work in Australia at the time of offer.
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written.
