About the Role
Supports store operations with an emphasis on merchandising and display to create an inspiring and dynamic visual experience for customers.
Responsibilities
- Act as a brand representative, partnering with Display Artist and Department Managers to create engaging visual experiences.
- Deliver exceptional, engaging, personalized, and efficient customer experiences.
- Take a forward-thinking approach to customer experience, marketing, merchandising, and activations to drive sales and create a compelling store environment.
- Support recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and training of department and display candidates for succession planning.
- Set clear objectives and expectations, coaching team members on store processes, business analysis, merchandise placement, and visual display.
- Inspire the team through shared fate, creativity, and empowerment, leveraging individual strengths.
- Manage visual direction of display and merchandising from planning to execution, meeting company expectations, budgets, and timelines.
- Assess store business using reporting tools to identify opportunities, taking visual risks to maximize sales and customer experience.
- Drive effective shipment and omni processes, prioritizing product delivery and strategic planning for execution and recovery of sell-through and markdowns.
- Take an active role in daily operating processes, including payroll management and adapting visual support to business needs.
- Adhere to store safety standards, ensure inventory accuracy, reduce product loss, and uphold company policies and procedures.
- Facilitate sharing product knowledge, current trends, visual priorities, and brand messaging through daily team and customer meetings.
- Communicate with Store Manager, Assistant Manager, and Display Artist to ensure teamwork and objective completion, demonstrating adaptability for shared vision execution.
- Stay current with interoffice communication, ensuring company information reaches all team levels, and provide product and visual feedback to management.
Requirements
- Passion for UO brand
- 3+ years store visual merchandising and leadership experience
- Strong merchant skills and a history of delivering financial results
- Experience with floor planning
- Proven record of developing great talent
- Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the store including nights, weekends, and holidays
