About the Role

Responsibilities

• Supervise treatment and ensure clinical excellence as a clinic captain.
• Uphold and practice the Juno Standard of Care with compassion and collaboration.
• Care for patients, solve problems, and act with compassion.
• Use DVM status to its highest level in medicine, surgery, and dentistry, and as a leader.
• Manage own patients including appointments, procedures, lab work interpretation, and medication prescription.
• Follow up on clinic patients when the primary veterinarian is unavailable.
• Complete charting and tasks in a timely manner.
• Forge connections between members and Juno through positive client experiences.
• Formulate proactive client plans, resolve conflicts, and ensure thoroughness and efficiency.
• Actively participate in team meetings to improve medical quality.
• Coach and support inexperienced doctors and support team members.
• Develop positive relationships with the team.
• Communicate wants and needs clearly and efficiently with the support and leadership teams.
• Align with and promote Juno initiatives.
• Seek to understand basic business needs, metrics, and benchmarks.
• Expand service offerings through continuing education and training.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinic setting.
• Experience in wellness, medicine, surgery, and dentistry.
• Ability to diagnose and treat infectious, inflammatory, metabolic, degenerative, physiologic, and environmental diseases.
• Ability to triage and stabilize urgent/emergent cases before referring.
• Competence in feline and canine spay and neuter (including mature and large breeds), cryptorchid neuter, umbilical hernia repair, mass removals, cystotomy, laceration repair, eyelid surgery, enucleation, and gastropexy.
• Competence in dental charting, reading X-rays, gingival flaps, burring and sectioning, extractions, and closing extraction sites.
• Comfort with POCUS and abdominal ultrasound is a plus.

• $130,000 to $170,000 per year
• Bonus component applicable, starting at 10%
