About the Role

This role involves joining the Transit Group practice to win, design, and mentor a team of architects on Transit projects. It offers the opportunity to shape the design of large-scale transit facilities with local, national, and international work.

Responsibilities

• Grow the transit practice in the region with Practice Group Manager and Leaders.
• Leverage existing experience and relationships to grow the market.
• Develop and maintain internal organizational relationships.
• Lead and facilitate cross-sector, discipline, and inter-office collaboration.
• Develop and grow client relationships in Urban Mixed-Use development, high-rise residential, hospitality, and commercial office sectors.
• Develop and maintain key industry contacts.
• Lead and participate in business development pursuits, including proposal writing and review.
• Manage projects, including developing cost proposals, work breakdown structures, and monitoring project progress.
• Create and update risk management plans.
• Perform QA/QC on projects and serve as Architect of Record (AOR) across the United States.
• Lead client relationships and project presentations.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in the Living Practice Group.
• Provide high-level guidance to achieve trusted partner status with clients.
• Provide hands-on involvement and leadership in project design, coordination, preparation, and document delivery.
• Motivate, mentor, and delegate work to team members.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience managing multi-disciplinary teams, serving as client liaison, and solving complex challenges.
• 5+ years of recent and relevant Rail and Bus facility experience.
• Architectural Degree from a NAAB accredited program.
• Licensed Architect with current registration.
• Minimum 20 years experience.
• NCARB file or eligibility to secure one within 45 days of hire.
• Minimum 12 years of experience with strategic thinking and interest in business and practice issues.
• Existing relationships in mixed-use residential, commercial, hospitality, and retail private sectors.
• Experience with large, complex projects within a multi-disciplinary practice.
• Strategic thinking leadership skills, connecting business with practice.
• Comprehensive understanding of project coordination and multi-disciplinary requirements under demanding deadlines.
• Demonstrated creativity, passion, and interest in design.

• $160,000 - $230,000
