About the Role
The Logistics Associate I is responsible for maintaining and balancing the inbound/outbound process of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure daily production needs are met. This role involves providing timely communications to other departments and leadership, and supporting all other warehouse operation functions and personnel as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring all necessary forms for daily operations are filled out completely and accurately.
- Creating and maintaining daily dock schedules.
- Communicating with carriers regarding appointment setting and updating load statuses.
- Interacting with customers and contractors to answer questions about shipment times, product cuts, and loads not picked up by carriers.
- Making quick, reliable decisions that represent both the customer and Ryder.
- Performing basic administrative tasks.
- Processing Small Package in Warehouse Management System.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED required.
- One (1) year or more of clerical or warehouse experience required.
- Must have valid legal authorization to work in Canada.
Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer service skills.
