About the Role

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for managing and strategically growing Moet Hennessy’s business through influential leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve revenue, margin, and gross profit targets set by the Sales Director.
  • Communicate local program spending effectiveness to maximize company profits and determine ROI on focused initiatives.
  • Achieve category objectives, key performance indicators, and targets by implementing strategies and tactics for sustainable long-term growth.
  • Accelerate Moet Hennessy brands quicker than assigned category in allotted accounts.
  • Visit assigned account universe on a regular basis.
  • Partner with sales consultants and area managers to inform and educate on programs, tools, and execution in assigned accounts.
  • Continually develop key account relationships to become a trusted advisor.
  • Identify market trends and developments in product categories, geographic regions, and among the entire account base to become the Category Expert.
  • Advise customers and influence shelf space and menu placements.
  • Conduct customer staff training on focus category/brands.
  • Create, coordinate, and attend on-site promotional functions (e.g., launches, tastings, dinners).
  • Sell in account level activation, working with agencies to execute.
  • Perform market surveys to document execution.
  • Provide recaps of market opportunities and successes.
  • Collaborate with CPWS Trade Development and Moet Hennessy Supplier teams to localize tools for programming, activation, education, and execution.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a dependable vehicle, valid driver's license, proof of state registration and insurance, and an acceptable driving record.
  • Manage and stay within an assigned budget.
  • Ability to understand supplier strategies and align with internal and external teams.
  • Demonstrated success in building and improving relationships with suppliers and buyers, with established rapport in the entire geographic region.
  • Ability to sit and type/keyboard using a computer or mobile device for a considerable amount of time.
  • Ability to occasionally walk, bend, reach, stand, and stoop.
  • Ability to work weeks exceeding 40 hours, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays when required.
  • Ability to occasionally lift/lower, push, carry, or pull up to 40 lbs.

Salary/Compensations

  • Expected first year total earnings of $85,000 - $110,000/year plus bonus, incentives, and auto allowance/reimbursement.
