About the Role
P&D Appliance seeks a Field Service Technician with expertise in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing commercial cooking and refrigeration equipment. This role involves maintaining, modifying, troubleshooting, and repairing electric and gas commercial kitchen equipment and appliances, including HVAC, steam, hot side (Air Fryer, Ovens), and cold side (Walk-in Freezers, Refrigerators) units.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including personal protective equipment (PPE) use.
- Troubleshoot and repair gas, electric, water, refrigeration, and steam-powered commercial kitchen equipment using various tools.
- Apply advanced knowledge of tools, commercial kitchen, and HVAC parts, and electrical principles (Ohm's law, Watt's law).
- Communicate professionally with customers and colleagues regarding required repairs and status.
- Navigate service software and communication channels to provide quality service.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience repairing commercial gas, electrical, steam, and/or refrigeration equipment.
- Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical skills.
- Goal-oriented with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent customer communication skills.
- Ability to work hard, be punctual, and stay organized.
- Completion of a satisfactory background check.
- Completion of a drug screen.
- Valid Driver's license with a driving record aligning with safety standards.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Experience with commercial cooking equipment (Preferred).
- CFESA certification (Preferred).
- EPA Universal Certification (Preferred).
- Computer literacy (Preferred).
